Public Hearing
The Board of Commissioners of the Allen Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA), pursuant to the Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations, announces it will hold a public hearing at 11 am on Friday, August 15, 2025 to receive public comments on the agency s 5-year Capital Fund Plan.

The public hearing will be held at the AMHA office located at 600 S. Main St., Lima, OH. The plan will be available for viewing at the AMHA office. Persons in need of additional information are invited to contact Tiffany Wright, AMHA Executive Director, at 419.228.6065.

​ Bingocize
​​Bingocize classes facilitated by the Area Agency on Aging 3 will be held at Furl Williams Apartments on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. starting August 12th - October 9th, 2025. There will be no classes August 14th or September 25th.
​
Bingocize is a 10-week, evidence-based health program that combines exercise, bingo, and health education.
​
This class is open to current Furl Williams residents. Pre-registration is required. Call 419.228.6065 to register.

WHAT IS PUBLIC HOUSING?
Public housing in Lima, Ohio, is managed by Allen Metropolitan Housing Authority (AMHA). This federally funded program helps low-income families, seniors, and people with disabilities find safe and affordable homes.

To apply, fill out an application to join the waitlist. When your name reaches the top, AMHA’s Intake Department will contact you for screening. You must pass this process to be approved for housing.
