The Allen Metropolitan Housing Authority will be accepting applications online for its Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program beginning at 8:30am December 1, 2020 and closing 11:59pm on December 4, 2020.
Applications must be submitted online. You can find a link at www.allenmha.com
We will NOT distribute or accept applications at any Agency location and fax or email requests will not be accepted.
Anyone may apply. Applicants already on other AMHA waiting lists must apply separately for this program. Applying will not affect one's status on other agency waiting lists.
Applicants may use any computer, tablet, or smart phone with internet access to apply. A valid email address will be required to submit an application.

Earlier this year, most programs offered by the AMHA began to accept applications only by way of the new online portal found on this website. We announced this in an April post on this News & Events page.
Except for instances where an applicant requests and is approved for a reasonable accommodation allowing for paper application, the introduction of this online portal means the agency no longer accepts preliminary applications in paper-form or by fax for all programs that are available through the online portal. The link to the online portal was found by clicking on the Forms tab, then the hyperlink titled "Allen Metropolitan Housing Preliminary Application." We believe the new button on the homepage should be easier to locate.

Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, November 12, 2020, but our lobby will remain closed to the public. During regular business hours, we are able to answer the phone and receive information by fax, mail, email, and either of the two drop boxes located near the front door of our agency.
