MAINTENANCE
AMHA Maintenance
AMHA will make repairs for work items identified as normal wear and tear in AMHA housing units at no charge. Work items that are identified as resident damage may be charged accordingly. Maintenance requests may be made by calling our Maintenance Department at 419.228.6105 or in writing by completing a Maintenance Request Form and returning it to our office at 600 S. Main Street, Lima, Ohio. The form can be obtained by visiting our office or in the Forms section in this tab. 

Emergencies are identified as physical work items that pose an IMMEDIATE THREAT to life, health, safety or property or that are related to fire safety. The emergency maintenance phone number is 419.236.9126. Current items on the AMHA emergency list include, but are not limited to:

• Lock-outs (resident charge)

• No power (Outage not due to an act of God or unpaid bills)

• Any outside door that cannot be locked or secured.

• Broken or missing windows

• Sewer backed up

• Plugged or overflowing toilet if it is the only toilet in the house.

• No Heat (if the temperature is 40 degrees or less) 

• Flood

• Fire

• No running water

NOTE: If there are only children at the residence, we will not enter the unit unless there is an emergency.
